ECOPLUM SPONSORED COMMUNAL SHREDDING EVENT
Friday, April 16th, 12:00 pm
PS 166, 132 West 89th Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus
NYC
It’s Springtime and tax time: all great reasons to clear out the old and bring in the new!
Do you have old tax documents, bank statements, credit card applications, file folders, papers and photos that you’d love to get rid of? Well, here’s your chance!
EcoPlum, in partnership with Code Shred – a mobile document shredding and paper recycling company – is offering the local EcoPlum community the opportunity to communally shred and recycle unwanted documents at a greatly reduced price.
On Friday, April 16th at 12pm, Code Shred’s truck will park in the Upper West Side of Manhattan (exact location will depend on parking availability). We will meet in front of PS 166, 132 West 89th Street, at 11:55am and walk to the truck, so if you’re carrying a heavy load, bring a wagon. If you’re bringing small children, they can watch your material being shredded on a TV mounted on the truck!
The cost of an hour of shredding is usually $250. EcoPlum is covering $100; that leaves $150.
If 10 people join in, we can shred for $15 each – a huge savings.
If you’re interested in participating, please e-mail me at gia@ecoplum.com and your name will be added to the list. The first 10 people to respond will get priority.
If more than 10 people respond and the shredding takes more than 1 hour, the fee is $62.50 for each 15-minute increment – still cheaper in a group than if we all did it individually.
Code Shred will accept any kind of paper (including clips and staples), photos, hanging file folders, and even 3-ring binders.
