Gary is the founder and CEO of Speakery, a social media marketing company.  Gary's experience from multiple disciplines gives him a broad perspective across technology, sales, marketing and operations.  Gary was previously CEO of crayon where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations, finance and management functions of the new media conversational marketing company in addition to building the infrastructure to support crayon's growth.  Gary has held numerous senior positions for a number of financial services companies including Citigroup where he was Director at GTS Master Trust Services leading the business' strategic planning, product management and development. 

He was formerly co-founder and CEO of Verulend an internet startup; a Director at Deutsche Bank's GIS Global Sales and Marketing which he joined when Deutsche Bank acquired Bankers Trust Company.  At Bankers Trust Company Gary was Chief of Staff for Global Sales and Marketing for the Transaction Services Division.  He had senior roles in operations, sales and client management at Bankers Trust.  He had also worked in accounting firms in South Africa and New York. 

Gary blogs about things that interest him at www.garydcohen.com.  He is a contributor to the social media book Age of Conversation 2 and is a published photographer.  Gary has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town; an MBA with a focus on competitive strategies from Fordham University; and is a licensed non-practicing CPA.
