Kirsten Brashares is a co-founder of a non-profit involved with children's environmental health, nutrition and fitness in the NYC public schools.

Kirsten previously worked for The Lumen Foundation, a nonprofit publishing company based in San Francisco, CA. She has also worked at Wired Magazine and Inc. Magazine.

Kirsten is a graduate of Emory University and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
